5Lots of great music!  Jul 02, 2004 By K. Stuckey "kateling"

Shania Twain is a hit machine and all of her best showed up in Chicago. I really enjoy this DVD when I get home from work. Shania has a very high energy show, a rockin' band and great chemistry with her fans. I love her new songs like "She's Not Just a Pretty Face" and "I'm Gonna Getcha Good", but her old songs are performed with equal zest! Definitely a must have for the fan!

# Shania singing with a small Orchestra

% Shania playing the drums

The thing I really liked was when Shania asked these 3 little girls to come out and sing the opening of I'm gonna Getcha Good. Those little girls sounded like little angels. Also I enjoyed the part when Shnia was shaking evreyones hand and one girl in the audience was singing part of "She's not just a pretty face" into the Microphone. That girl is so lucky.

The saddest thing is that they don't have the videos and Interviews of Shania's visit to Chicago when she was not onstage. When they shown this concert on NBC and CMT, the best part was Shania getting to play for the Chicago Cubs baseball team for a day and going into the announcer's booth being the guest conductor and leading the crowd in Take me out to the ballgame. I loved that part. That was acually the highlight of Shania's visit to Chicago. It's sad they don't have it on this DVD. Still enjoy the video!

5Music doesn't get better than this  Nov 15, 2005 By Frank Burton "a music lover"
This is by far my favorite presentation of Shania's incredible music--she's live, she's alive, and she keeps that audience of 50,000 people on their feet and loving her for over two hours.

I'm a recent fan of Shania's (must have been asleep) and have several of her CDs and DVDs. This is by far my favorite, because of the incredible connectedness between her and her audience, fueled by her complete command of her material, her near-unbelievable stage presence, and the obvious love that she and the audience keep blowing back and forth.

Her CDs are wonderful (especially The Best of Shania Twain) and the other videos I have are fine--her costumes are actually sexier on The Platinum Collection--but if I had to choose only one disk, this would be the winner.

5The terrific Up! Concert by Mike Haber.  Oct 09, 2005
Country Music Sensation Shania Twain returns to stage for her first concert performence over the last 3 years. This Concert was seen NBC back on August 19th, 2003. It was tapped on July 27th, 2003. She performs in the Windy City at Grant Park in front of 50,000 fans. It was an outdoor concert. She sang her new hits and classics. The songs she sang were from her albums Up, The Woman in me, and Come on over. This concert doesn't show the footage of Shania's visit to Chicago and not even when she went to Wrigley Field when she threw the opening pitch and went in the annoncers booth and led the crowd singing "Take me out the ballgame" and her visit to the Chicago branch kids Cafe. An after school feeding program that Shania supports. They show all the people who went on stage to meet her. Like the part when Shania asked three little girls to sing "I'm gonna gethcha good" and the request for this man to marry this woman she knew and danced on stage to "When you kiss me." She wore 3 outfits in the show and played the guitar during "No one needs to know" and You're still the one." She also featured a stringed orchestra as a very special guest during "Thank you Baby! (For making me someday come so soon.) Also the best part was Shania playing the drums during ("If Your'e Not in it for love) I'm otta here." This concert was part of her 3 pre-tour concerts. The other 2 were also outdoor concert. So lets "Rock this Country" and enjoy "SHANIA TWAIN UP! LIVE IN CHICAGO!"

5Shania is Up! and LIVE!  Nov 30, 2004 By J. Sumaran "Roach"
Shania is the reigning queen of country. A few years back the Nashville purists said she didn't have the voice of a real artist so they doubted her ability to sing. HOW WRONG WERE THEY? She proved to all who doubted her WRONG! SHE toured for "The Woman In Me" and "Come On Over" in late 1998-1999 and ended up being the highest grossing tour of the 90s.Now 3 yrs after her break Shania came back to promote Up!. The result? Her Up! Live in Chicago special had the highest tv ratings anyone ever did see in years. She's the best live performer and has alot of fun on the stage. This DVD special proves that for all Shania fans and those non-Shania fans. She's an artist who has fun on the stage and really all that translates into body language with the fans. I luv her live performances b/c her voice just shines on the stage and i luv how she performs MAN! I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN! and UP! but the best song she does is the final song ROCK THIS COUNTRY! man she rocks the entire planet. If you dont have this DVD yet i insist you buy it..ITS WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY
